Steps
Mix everything except gandules and rice
Boil about 6 cups water on the side
Pour rice and gandules in the pot with other ingredients
Add pinch of sugar
Pour boiling water onto the rice
Cover with about 1/2 inch water above rice level and leave covered on medium flame until water dries
Mix rice and cover
Leave on low flame for 1/2 hour
